Company History
In September of 2005, Brandon Koyste, President of BLS Landscaping and Construction Inc., officially started his business as BLS Landscaping. Lawn care has been Brandon’s true calling since high school. While he worked at Village Greens Golf Course, he learned valuable skills that helped him to expand his background in landscaping. As the business continued to grow, it went from only lawn cutting to a full-fledged landscaping operation.
During the winter months when he wasn’t handling snow removal, Brandon began to flip houses in Berks County. Since 2008 Brandon has successfully flipped three houses turning them run down properties to wonderful homes. After beginning his first flip, Brandon started to research adding a construction division to his business.
In his free time, Brandon volunteers at the Western Berks Fire Department. This is where he met Avery Lesher, the Construction Manager of the company. In 2008 Brandon and Avery began to talk about changing the business to also include construction. Avery has 15 years of experience in the construction industry, having formerly worked at Lesher Construction and Berks Fire Water Restorations. During his years at Lesher Construction, Avery was involved in custom home construction, additions, and smaller remodeling jobs. While working for Berks Fire Water Restorations, Avery became a foreman who was responsible for running jobs ranging from drywall repairs all the way up to complete rebuilds for houses damaged by fire.
In November of 2011, BLS Landscaping officially opened their construction division and became BLS Landscaping and Construction, Inc. Soon after Brandon approached Avery to come on board and run the construction division as the lead carpenter and manager.
Since then Brandon and Avery have completed numerous projects of all sizes, ranging from smaller handy man projects to remodeling full custom kitchens. They have also flipped another house located in Sinking Spring - taking the entire interior of the house down to studs and fully rebuilding it.
The landscaping division has continued to grow every year as well. We have multiple year round commercial contracts, we’ve completed numerous large hardscape projects such as patios, and we’ve also completed multiple large tree removals.
We now employ seven additional people and due to our smaller and tight knit team we can ensure excellent customer service to make your dreams reality, inside and out.
